Renewal Guard: stop paying for servers your clients did not pay for

Contabo renews on its own schedule. Renewal Guard makes sure your billing always runs ahead of it.

  • Due date alignment: client due dates move to 5 days before the Contabo renewal by default, only earlier and never while an invoice is unpaid.
  • Grace period: 3 days by default, then the server is cancelled at Contabo and the WHMCS service is suspended.
  • Safety window: cancellation happens at least 12 hours before the Contabo cut-off, using German time.
  • Verified cancellations: the termination date is read back, and you get an e-mail if it is later than expected.
  • Daily sync: all linked servers are checked and orphaned Contabo servers are reported.
  • Watch-only mode: per service, the guard can send alerts without ever cancelling.

From order to first server

A Setup tab walks you through six steps on a fresh install.

1. Buy and get your keyOrder the licence. The key appears on the service page in your client area.
2. Upload and activateUpload the files to your WHMCS root and activate VPS Reseller Pro under Addon Modules.
3. Connect your Contabo APIPaste your Client ID, Client Secret, API user and API password. They are tested before saving.
4. Create a product and publishEnter the Contabo product ID and your cost, set your margin and click Save and publish.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an official Contabo product?

No. VPS Reseller Pro is an independent WHMCS module by AraHoster. It works with your own Contabo account through the Contabo API, using credentials from the Contabo Customer Control Panel.

What do I need to run it?

WHMCS 8.0 or newer, PHP 8.1 to 8.5 with cURL and JSON, the ionCube Loader for your PHP version, the WHMCS cron running every 5 minutes, Contabo API access and a USD currency in WHMCS, plus EUR or GBP if your Contabo account bills in those.

How does it stop me paying for unpaid servers?

Renewal Guard moves client due dates ahead of each Contabo renewal, applies a grace period, then cancels the server at Contabo at least 12 hours before the cut-off and reads back the termination date to verify it.

Can I import servers I already sell?

Yes. The Import tab brings in every Contabo server, whatever module it uses now or none. Services are matched by instance ID, vmi name or IP, and unmatched ones can be linked by hand. Overdue imported services get a 7-day safety hold.

Can I keep my own plan prices?

Yes. Per product you can keep your own WHMCS plan prices and setup fees. Publishing then only prices locations, licences and add-ons.

What happens if my licence expires?

You cannot create new servers or publish prices, but existing servers, Renewal Guard and the client panel keep working.

How many installations does one licence cover?

One licence covers one WHMCS installation on one domain. Updates and support last while the licence is active.

Which languages are included?

English, Arabic (RTL), German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Turkish, Russian and Norwegian. New languages can be added by copying the English language file.
