What changed in each version of VPS Reseller Pro for Contabo (formerly Arahoster Cloud VPS for Contabo). To upgrade, open Addons → VPS Reseller Pro → Update and click Update now, or download the latest version from your Arahoster client area and upload it over the old files. Security
- Import: a server is linked automatically only when the match is certain (its IP address, or an instance ID in an admin-only field). A match by hostname, username or a field the client can fill in is only a suggestion you pick yourself, and a server matched by several services is linked to none of them.
- Client area: a sub-user whose permissions cannot be read is refused for actions that change a server.
- The hostname is checked before it is written into the server setup (cloud-init).
- The licence key, the cached provider access token and the provider Client Secret are now stored encrypted with your WHMCS key (existing servers are converted automatically).
- Admin area: server actions on the service page need the WHMCS permissions "View Clients Products/Services" and "Perform Server Operations"; changing provider API details, the licence key or notification channels, and importing servers, need a Full Administrator.
- Monitoring endpoint: failed requests are limited per IP address, and the install command sends its token in the request body instead of the URL.
- Routine licence checks now verify the licence server's signature, like updates already did.
- Update backups get long random file names.

- The module files are now ionCube-encoded (PHP 8.1 or newer with the ionCube Loader). Language files and the client-area template stay readable, so you can still translate and restyle them.
- The "Buy a licence" link now opens the product page at arahoster.com/marketplace/cloud-vps-for-contabo.
- Health tab: checks that the ionCube Loader is installed; PHP 8.1 is now the minimum.
