AraTheme — Theme Manager Guide 1: Brand, Colours, Header, Menus & Footer

5 min read 6 views

AraTheme 1.3 · For WHMCS administrators

Part 1 of the theme manager guide: how the manager works, and the sections that shape every page — Brand, Colours & look, Header, Menus, Promo bar, Footer and Client account.

How the theme manager works

  • Open Addons → AraTheme. The sidebar groups the sections: Brand & look, Site layout, Content, Growth and System.
  • Search: the box at the top of the sidebar (or press /) finds any setting by name and jumps straight to it.
  • Editing language: the Editing selector at the top right switches between All languages (default) and one language. Settings marked per language can have a different text for each language; a language left empty uses the default. Settings without that mark are shared by all languages and are edited under All languages.
  • Saving: every section saves on its own with Save changes in the sticky bar at the bottom. The bar warns you about unsaved changes before you leave the section. Changes are live at once.
  • View site opens your site in a new tab so you can check the result.
  • Images: upload PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP, or paste an image address. Uploads are stored in modules/addons/arahoster_theme/uploads/.

Brand

SettingWhat it does
Brand nameShown next to the logo mark. Empty = your WHMCS company name.
Tagline (per language)Small line under the brand name, e.g. "Hosting made simple".
MonogramUp to 3 letters for the logo tile when no icon image is set.
Logo (light background)Full logo for light mode. Empty = the logo set in WHMCS, or the tile + brand name.
Logo (dark background)Used in dark mode and the dark footer. Empty = the light logo.
Icon / markA square mark used in the tile instead of the monogram.

Tip: if you only have a square icon, upload it as Icon / mark and leave the full logos empty. The theme then shows the icon with your brand name and tagline as text — sharp on every screen and in every language.

Colours & look

  • Brand colour — accents, icons and focus rings. A full shade scale (light to dark) is generated from it.
  • Button colour — buttons and links with white text. The contrast check under the colours tells you if white text stays readable (WCAG AA). Choose a darker shade if it warns you.
  • Ink colour — headings, the footer and dark panels.
  • Deal colour — only for offers: sale badges and the promo tag.
  • Corner style — how round cards and buttons are.
  • Default mode — light or dark. Visitors who use the toggle keep their own choice.
  • Show the light / dark toggle — the moon / sun button in the header.

Header

Turn the parts of the top bar on or off: knowledgebase search (client area), notifications bell, cart button, language button (flag + name) and the New order button. You can change the text and the link of the New order button (empty link = the store).

Menus

  • Extra menu items (per language): label, link, icon, who sees it (everyone, visitors or signed-in clients), order and "open in a new tab". They appear in the header for visitors and in the sidebar for signed-in clients. The icon is a Lucide icon name, for example server, globe or life-buoy.
  • Hide menu items: one per line — the item's English text (e.g. Network Issues) or its WHMCS menu name (e.g. Announcements). Works for items added by other modules too.
  • Menu translations (per language): for menu items that other modules add with a fixed English text. Choose the language in Editing, then add "English text → your translation". Common items (Home, Services, Domains, Support, Knowledgebase …) are already translated into Arabic, Norwegian and Spanish.

Promo bar

A thin offer bar above the header.

  1. Tick Show the promo bar.
  2. Write a short Tag (e.g. "Autumn sale"), the Text and optionally a Link with Link text — per language.
  3. Optional: Starts and Ends (server time). With an end time the bar shows a live countdown and hides itself afterwards.

Footer

  • About text (per language) under the logo.
  • Link columns (per language): one link per line as Label | URL; add | new to open in a new tab. Empty = the built-in Store / Support / Client area columns.
  • Payment method badges: one per line, e.g. Visa. To show the official logo add its image after a bar: Visa | https://…/visa.svg.
  • Help strip at the top of the footer, with its title and text.
  • "All systems normal" link to the network status page.
  • "Safe & secure" column and its lines (per language). Write only what is true for your service.
  • Copyright line (per language): {year} becomes the current year. Empty = the WHMCS line.
  • "Back to top" button.

Client account

  • Clients can upload a profile photo — shown in the header, dashboard and tickets. Photos are checked, re-encoded and stored with random names.
  • Profile strength — a ring and checklist that encourage clients to complete their details and security.
  • Sign-in & security card — last sign-in and two-step login on the dashboard.
