The System settings, backing up your settings, answers to common problems, and how to remove AraTheme cleanly.
Features
- Show "Get started" (register) in the header.
- Load only the styles each page needs — faster pages: a shared core file plus one file for the homepage, the client area or the store. Turn it off while you test your own custom CSS.
- Load Font Awesome — needed by many modules (cPanel, VPS panels, payment gateways). Turn off only if nothing on your site uses it.
- Force right-to-left layout for every language.
Custom CSS & backup
Custom CSS
Your own CSS, loaded after the theme on every page. The theme uses CSS variables, for example:

Export and import settings
- Export downloads all settings as one JSON file — use it as a backup before big changes, or to copy your setup to another installation (for example from staging to live).
- Import loads such a file. Texts are merged per language: the file's texts win, other texts you already set stay.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Cause and fix |

| The addon page is blank or shows a PHP / ionCube error | The ionCube Loader is missing or too old, PHP is older than 8.1, or the files were uploaded in text (ASCII) mode. Check System Health Status, and upload again in binary mode. |
| The activation screen keeps coming back | The key is wrong, the licence is not active, or your server cannot reach https://me.arahoster.com. Copy the key again from your client area, check outbound HTTPS, then Check now. |
| WHMCS switched back to Twenty-One by itself | The licence is not active (expired, unpaid or unreachable past the grace period). Renew and click Check now; AraTheme switches back on with all your settings. |
| A bar says "AraTheme is not activated on this site" | The theme is selected but the addon or the licence is not active. See the Installation guide, steps 2 and 3. |
| Some products still use the old order form | Those product groups have their own order form. Edit the group and choose Use System Default or arahoster_cart. |
| The old look stays after an update | Empty the WHMCS template cache (Utilities → System → System Cleanup) and reload the page with Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R. |
| The "Update to …" button is missing | Either you are up to date, the licence is not active, or a server check in the Updates panel is red. Fix the check or update by hand. |
| Icons in a module's page are missing | Turn on Features → Load Font Awesome. |
| Emails still look like before | The email design is used only after you click Use this style for client emails in Emails & invoice. |
| The logo in emails or the PDF invoice is the old one | Upload the logo under Emails & invoice (PNG or JPG, white or light for dark headers). Empty fields fall back to the WHMCS logo. |
| An offer does not show | Its promo code is missing or expired in WHMCS, the dates are outside the current time, or On is not ticked. |
| Live status shows "unknown" | The status page address is wrong or blocked, or the WHMCS cron is not running. Click Check now in Support → Live status. |
| Profile photo upload fails | The PHP GD extension is missing, or the image is larger than 8 MB. |
| No cookie banner | With Automatically the banner only appears once you use a tracker or your own code. That is correct: without optional cookies no banner is needed. |
| A page from the page builder shows "not found" | It is still a draft (only admins can see drafts), or the address is wrong. |
| Titles show "&" | Fixed in 1.3.1. Open the section, check the text and save it once. |
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the template files?
Yes, templates, CSS and JavaScript are open. But an update replaces them, so put your changes in Custom CSS, All texts and the other settings — those are never touched by updates.
Does AraTheme work with my modules and payment gateways?
Yes. The client area keeps WHMCS's own markup where modules hook in, Bootstrap class names are styled, and the order form keeps Standard Cart's IDs and classes. If something looks off, tell us the module name.
Which languages are supported?
All WHMCS languages. Theme texts are included in English, Arabic, Norwegian and Spanish, and every text can be edited per language. Right-to-left is automatic for Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, Urdu, Kurdish and Pashto.
Will a WHMCS update break the theme?
AraTheme supports WHMCS 9.0 and later and is built on WHMCS's own templates. We test new WHMCS releases and ship fixes through one-click updates.
Do I need a licence for my staging site?
Yes, every installation needs an active key. Open a ticket and ask about a staging key.
What happens to my settings if I stop the licence?
They stay in your database. WHMCS uses its own theme until you renew; then everything comes back.
Removing AraTheme
- Export your settings (Custom CSS & backup → Export), in case you come back.
- System Settings → General Settings: set System Theme to
twenty-oneand the Default Order Form Template tostandard_cart. Check product groups that usedarahoster_cart. - If you used the email design, click Restore in Emails & invoice.
- System Settings → Addon Modules → AraTheme → Deactivate. Untick Keep settings on deactivate first only if you want the settings deleted.
- Delete the folders
